Just received this email from redeye:
"Sorry but we have just received the GOTH-TRAD, Cut End / Flags : DEEP
MEDI MUSIK, MEDI 005 and they have the A side Cut End pressed on both
sides. It will not be getting a repress. Do you still want the records
or would you like to swap it for another, or a refund?"
GUTTED
What is everyone doing?

Wow thanks for the heads up mate, I already had it in my basked on RedEye, was about to purchase it tomorrow.
Sad though, was well excited about it getting a repress. Missed out on it the first time.

No wonder the vinyl industry is dying out when these half-wits keep making the simplest of errors when it comes to the pressing stage. It's bloody pathetic. Thank god I already own the record and haven't had to go through this.

Maybe I'm just being naive, but if the pressing plant fucked this up, should they not cover a repress for free?

it sounds like a really strange pressing issue? since it's repress, they must be using the original metalwork..? but my guess would be that pressing plant wouldn't have two metal plates of the same side laying around?? hmmm......

Thats what i was thinking. I wouldnt think theyed have two sets of masters unless they were doing a pretty big run.

Really though? Nobody noticed whilst they were printing out hundreds of 'em?
I have a bit of a thing for faulty records, so if anyone is still that angry about it, I'd be happy to buy it.

What a shame. One of the best Deep Medi plates getting a repress and the messed it up!
I got pretty annoyed when I saw that it was getting a repress because I paid about 25 USD (~15 pounds) a couple weeks ago to snag it off Discogs.
