Technics SL1200mkII
Price : USED $300 total for both (one was $70 off craigslist, the other was $230 on ebay).. fixed them up + custom paint and leds totaling $450 for 2 custom perfectly working Technics
Pros : Solid torque, look sexy, pretty standard(so its good to have a feel for them), Awesome learning experience to fix up
Cons : Can't think of any, but when/if I do I'll come back and edit this post! ..I guess the click on the pitch at 0 is annoying.. I'll probably get around to modifying that eventually. with the quartz lock it will go from on 0 then the closet % off zero has to be a least 1-1.5 percent. You can be slightly be off the click but the light will still be on and when you move it, it jumps to where it is suppose to be, so you miss out on that small percent. When I mix 139-140bpm I have to make both of the decks off the click and then match, otherwise its not gonna happen. If there wasn't the little area thats 0% and off click then it would be pretty solid, and I wouldn't mind the click /rant

Stanton T.80
Price : $250 used (4 years old and worked great)
Pros : Solid budget TTs. Decent torque, WAY better than the T.62s. IMO the best budget TT. Ran smooth, pitch was smooth. Internally grounded + I'm pretty sure it has a line output as well, I never used it, but I'm almost positive it does
Cons : The on/off switch on the back.. Its a cool idea, being able to kill the motor without turning the deck off.. but I hated having to dig into my case in order to turn it off. Makes the foam wear pretty fast.

Reloop RP-2000 MK3
Price : about 160 pound
Pros : Good torque, stop time is good too. Overall good for the money.
Cons : Pitch is not that smooth (compared too 1200's).

Also, I heard the element that comes with it is the worst ever. The shop I buy my gear at actually has an option to install

Make/Model : Stanton C. 324
Price : $350-$400 each
Pros : 4 drum machine-style cue buttons, built-in sampler, plays both CD's and mp3's, 7 built-in effects, comparable to CDJ 1000 but less than half the price
Cons : Has a somewhat cheap feel, sampler/chop only goes down to 1/4 beat (most dj's want 1/16), only semi-decent scratching

Price: $400 from aus, got it from the us for under $300, although i had to get a step down transformer for the voltage+$100...
Pros: it works. theyl do the job if your on a budjet, the build is good also. havnt had a chance to use the usb ripper thing but i dont think any one on the production forum would need insight on extracting audio threw a usb...
Cons: just get 150's or techs so you wont have to worry. mabe its my setup but i can make it skip by hitting my nuckle on the moderetly sturdy table it sits on.

it's a good reason. any other turntable you use, you will be very unlikely to encounter in any club/situation where equipment is provided. so unless you plan on lugging your turntables from gig to gig to be comfortable, you may as well buy same turntables everyone else is using.

Remember guys, not every DJ wants to play clubs.. Some people want cheaper alternatives (or just alternatives) for home playing.
