Some of the older DnB tunes are great, and some of the older dubstep tunes are great. The current state of DnB is a joke, and the current state of dubstep is a joke. (them sentences are super boring, but noway as boring as both these genres are now to me)

That old jungle and Dnb is what got me into electronci music in the first place. There is something really infectious about jungle style drums for me. So, yes, I agree

Jungle Drums = The Amen Break. The basslines were much simpler as were the production techninues. I loved jungle back in the day, also hardcore(not new hardcore, old hardcore). They both have their place in history. However its 2011, and you're comparing apples to oranges. Modern dubstep can be awesome, and i'll personally be focusing my efforts on that. Jungle had its day and it doesn't really interest me in producing any. However, if thats what you like, why not use it to influence what you produce now?

I was obsessed with jungle before dubstep was born. Wouldn't say either is inherently 'better' than the other. I listen to them both for totally different reasons.
