Okay, not sure how many people listen to post-hardcore.
But yeah, recommend some bands and put some links up!
Asking Alexandria:
Atreyu:
A Day To Remember:
Alexisonfire:
Attack Attack!:
Bless the Fall:
Bring Me The Horizon:
Bullet For My Valentine:
Enter Shikari:
We Are The Ocean:
We Came As Romans:
There's some to get the ball rolling. And I know that my list is very broad!
Enjoy.

Well, not to be a dick, but none of these are 'hardcore'.
Not a fan of any of those bands either.. at all. But maybe you'll dig Converge:
I love them. <(^.^<)
Dunno.. what else...
The Red Chord is good...
Obviously, the Dillinger Escape Plan who will always have a special place:
Haven't listened to any of this stuff for a loong ass time.

What would you consider to be hardcore then? >.>
I'm not talking punk here.
I had a listen to your examples. They alright but the reason I like the bands that I posted is their variety, contrast between clean/dirty vox, breakdowns and relevance to me.
I didn't find much of that in what you posted. :l Seems to be a different vibe.
Nice though, I'm sure they'd be nuts to see live.
But yeah, why isn't what I posted hardcore?

Hardcore is hardcore punk. It's a spectrum encompassing a number of styles (powerviolence, thrashcore, grindcore.. and a number of others). Most of these bands count more as post-hardcore or 'metalcore'.

Ahh, that is exactly what meant. Thanks for clearing that up man.

All the bands you posted are supposably ( ) in the screamo (hate that term)/metalcore (and that one) pigeon-hole (hate these too).
Anyway. Post-Hardcore. [warning! lines may blur genre-wise! especially seeing as some of these bands would've been huge influences to some/most of the bands you posted (especially glassJAw)]
Obviously all genres become broader as time goes on, until they die or mutate, but those are some of my favourites. +1 for the Converge!
Also, some very, very, very good "metalcore" to finish off. (Clue: The Botch track is supposed to sound tinny at the start. Don't skip past. Just turn it up. )

Oo some nice tunes coming out now. They seem to me post-hardcore/metalcore [whatever] from an earlier era which is nice.
I really liked Glassjaw!! They're pretty awesome and Botch was good too.
Cheers man.

Yup! Y'know, we felt it hadn't been ruined enough by Distance (fan of Korn and Pantera) and Vex'd (Meshuggah, anyone?), so we've decided to concentrate our efforts...
Apparently, even though we're really good at ruining dubstep, there are still colossal amounts of amazing dubstep being made...!
Which is quite annoying, really. I mean, we've been pouring all our efforts into ruining dubstep, and it's not been fully realised yet.
Oh well, hopefully some dickless presumptive troll will believe that we're succeeding, and said dickless presumptive troll can spread the word for us.
Now... Where can we find a dickless presu...
Ah!
Hiya, Aya!

either way, even shots at skrillex are getting old

Yeah, it's pretty lazy, although I can see his point, because a lot of those emo-type metalcore bands run pretty much parallel to Skrillex's style.
Anyway, as this bitchalmost said, "A troll is a troll is a troll." (Do NOT click link if you value your sanity.)
So, more tunage. This is a band who had one amazing album where every element's perfect for a party ('Hot Damn!') and then decided to start lolling testes (much like Dillinger Escape Plan). It just fucking rocks.
I dunno, sorry if this is just turning into a "heavy, with guitars" thread, but everybody needs to hear this song.
If you don't like it, I can verify that you're a total tnuc. Unbelievable dynamics. Isis are okay, but Aaron Turner really needs to get back to this shit.
And back to another huge influence on all the post-hardcore guyssssssssssss.
Is there anyone still making music that's heavy, but without cheese? But also without straying into death/black/whatever-as-long-as-it-evil-and-scary territory?

nah it's just that all of my hardcore/post-hardcore friends started getting into dubstep and promptly got into the hideously cheesy bro stuff and as we all know it kinda took over from there. Wasn't even thinking about skrillex as this was before he became famous. Just friendly ribbing though. There's place for all of us

Ahh I see what your problem is now.
Well, I like to think that these bands are similar to FFTL/Skrillex's band... but they're much less emo, less cliche and have some balls.
I dunno though, each to their own. I definately didn't hear about Dubstep through FFTL when Sonny Moore started making electronic music haha.

the ones that jumped onto dubstep were previously into metalcore, not post-hardcore. metalcore was a scene comprised of people into fads and they took dubstep as their next fad, and now they're onto odd future.
post-hardcore:
and the aforementioned Slint (one of my favourite bands), Fugazi etc
i fucking love punk man. realy Emo, Screamo, Post-Hardcore, Crust, Power Violence, Grindcore, Sludge... fucking love it. which means theres no excuse for calling any of the stuff in this thread Screamo when it is, in fact, not Screamo. it gets slippery like the Dubstep/"Brostep" thing.

Metal didn't ruin dubstep, but metalheads entering the scene and pushing the bro/filth stuff influenced its direction, there's no denying that whether you like it or not.

Ah, but the metal genre is in my opinion the least bro of them all but remember, not all are pushing the bro/filth. Take me for an example. I was 100% metalhead before but I'm not pushing the filth am I? Check out my blog if you don't believe me.
