Does anybody know how to synthesize this sort of sound?
You can hear it in the beginning of the track below if you don't know what I'm trying to describe.
Obviously synthesis will never sound exactly like a real guitar. And if any guitarists out there know how to do this in real life, lemme know! (experienced guitarist myself )



Love this sort of sound, would love to use it for some ambient moods n such.

Just record yourself playing and reverse it, or you can do a volume envelope with a volume pedal if you have one.

Idk about synthesizing the actual tone though, I'm pretty sure it's impossible.

Yeah I'm at work and I'm lazy/impatient. Eager to try this out for real when I get home though.

Yea, it's not a synth of any kind, it's just processing on the guitar recording. It most likely is what it sounds like. Add some delay and reverb, then record, load it up and reverse it. Or possibly add the reverb and delay after the reversing.

Just recorded it! Pretty excited since I've never used much of my guitar resources in my recent productions.
Doesn't make sense considering I spent $2000 on this guitar and tons more on amps, effects.

Ever since like March I haven't played guitar at all because I've gotten into production, but I'm really starting to want now so I'm going to see how I can mix them together tomorrow

Wobble Guitar

Record guitar. Reverse sample. Add reverb w/ long tail. Bounce. Reverse again so it's back to normal and you'll hear the reverb 'announcing' the guitar before it hits.


Same effect the Prodigy used on Keith's vocals in Firestarter.

While I had my guitar out I decided to record a couple more riffs and what not. Extremely satisfied with the results
I resampled one riff for a while and now it has a beautiful string quality to it, sort of like a cello. Could never accomplish something like this in synthesis!

Yeah that's exactly what happened to me. As long as you know the key of your WIP, just turn on a metronome and jam out.

I saw some video of Ean Golden replaying a loop of Guns n Roses Sweet Child of Mine with a Guitar Hero controller that he mapped for Traktor Pro, that's probably the closest thing I can think of to a wobble guitar

Yeah! This is the kinda thing I've been working on.
I love the moods that this sound creates. Almost like a symphonic crescendo but a little more raw and eerie

many delay pedals have a reverse echo effect

the quintessential "trick of the trade". Would like to check out what you've got going on with your reverse guitars..?

you could bounce whatever you are trying to reverse and if you have reason bring it in the nnxt and slap a rv7000 on it then scroll through each reverb option until you find the reverse one. turn up the time of the reverse and there you go. hopefully if you have reason this might be useful to you if not then you can just bring your bounced clip into your daw of choice that has a reverse option and just reverse the clip then add some reverb
