ez, this is more of a question thats been on my mind than simply just a thread of 'look listen to this' kinda thing.
This is pos my fave of mr orbisons tracks, cant get enough of it, however the talk is it will never get a release because jamie foxx (who samples the track) wont put it for clearance.
My question is however stupid it may sound, cant joy simply record his own vocal or someone elses (maybe the same lyrics or slightly tweeked) and just drop them in instead, thus resolving the clearance issue? becasue surely this track would sell by the bucket load no?
I'm not sure if that's the reason it's not getting a release; the Pearson Sound remix is on his Fabriclive mix and I'm pretty sure they would have to jump through the same legal hoops for the sample clearance.
