Logic's EFM1 Synth SO UNDERRATED

As I make very clear whenever talking about production I am an FL boy and probs always will be. But i've been mucking about at college with Logic as I'm gonna have to take it up fully next year when i start my Sound Design course in London.
While mucking around with Logic's default FM Synthesizer (EFM1) I realized it could make some proper proper deep wavey subs and in particular the bassline i've been trying to achieve for quite sometime I like to (quite poorly) call the "UFO Landing Bassline", it sounds simple when you hear it but i actually can't make it in any other synth.
But fuck describing it, heres a track to illustrate what i mean by "UFO Landing Bassline", made by a mate of mine, you probs know him as dismantle, but this tune when it drops:
Soundcloud
the long drawn out one. Anyway, to get to the point of this post, I can't be fucked with continuously resampling from mac to PC and wondered if there was an easier way to achieve this sound in another synth? perhaps one I haven't even heard of?

You could have a go with sytrus if you haven't tried? It's an FM synth too, so i can't see why you couldn't get something similar out of it.

If you are looking for advice on recreating a particular sound, please use the How To Make This Sound thread -

lfo's are 'low flying objects', and they go wOumwoumwoumwoumwoum when they fly by land

hahaha yep, the weoeoowowowoeooeeoowom.
3xOSC as far as i know won't be capable of this unless i was to layer like 5 of them, and even then I don't think they'd achieve the sound I'm looking for
Sytrus I've been mucking about with, I've always sort of ignored Sytrus as i tend to avoid FL's built in instruments coz Grime has pretty much used and rinsed all they're capable of hahaha.
I'll see if i can get some shit going with Sytrus though, it's a fucking confusing plug in though! EFM is so simple

I was hoping someone would mention a way to do it in Massive or Albino or something

I have logic but I realized I never really the EFM.
Opened it now and it's sick, can make some really unexpected fucked up sounds!

Liking the randomize button alot too haha.
Does anyone else like it?

I've personally never liked FM synths. They've always been a bit confusing to me. I tend to stick with more Subtractive style synths. Although I have tried FM8 and I actually kinda liked it. One thing that always put me off on Sytrus, aside from the FM part, is everything seems so confined. It feels like they tried to jam all this stuff into this tiny little UI and it just feels almost claustrophobic using it.
If EFM1 is the only FM synth you want to use you could always go with a mac and just install FL on the mac. Then it's just a matter of bouncing the sounds from one folder to another.

I think FM is cool as fuck but it's hard and I've only started experimenting with it just now.
I know this is offtopic but it's a short question: How would you install Fl on a mac?
Is it the old bootcamp/virtual desktop thing or have they released it for mac?
That Harmor synth looks sick, wouldn't mind being able to use that together with logic.

You will need to use a program to get it to work. Wineskin is a fairly popular way of doing it. You can also use crossover. Wineskin is actually the easiest way I've seen for it and it's free which makes it even better. There's a couple tutorials on youtube that should explain how to do it fairly easy with wineskin. It also works perfectly from what I've seen. Whereas with other virtual desktop programs I've seen people have a lot of problems with them.
