How to get the full bass sound in this Noisia remix.

Could any talented individuals enlighten a noob on how to get my bass to sound "fuller" and more "brutal" such as the example featured around the 40 second to minute mark in this track? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXjRpCRcOcg
Is there a lot of layering going on or something? It just so full. Here's another example of it in a Chasing Shadows song.
It's.. it's just so full and brutal. Someone please help a guy out.
I have NI Massive and use Logic Pro 9 as my DAW. Thanks in advance.

Fill out the frequencies, Low/Mid/High. There's lots of info on this on here, and on The Grid.
Look through the "How to sound like Skrillex" sticky, there's alot of good info on there

split the frequencies and put some heavy distortion on the mids and his? perhaps? there are a couple methods but it also does matter about the original sound. you can almost polish a turd but there will always be that piece of shit that can't get cleansed

That's misleading imo. Start with a good synth patch, as phat as you can get it, before doing ANYTHING. And remember - little steps. Don't go full out on the distortion, or anything. Only small amounts at a time, all adds up to a big sound.

ye thats what I meant. most of the times its just the unaffected synth patch with no external processing on it whatsoever. I have gotten some meaty sounds with just my synth. i mentioned there are different methods to cook the chicken. i said what I have said before thinking that he already did have a sound he had liked and just wanted to beef it up. sorry about me mentioning different poultry/meat a lot.

My point is - garbage in, garbage out. You can't polish a turd.

Have a read through this. http://www.dogsonacid.com/showthread.ph ... did=298904
It's a bit old but the techniques are still very valid. Definitely helped me understand how Noisia get their ridonculous basses better lots of other good tips unrelated to bass in there as well.

That's what resampling is for. Make new sounds

Many a person has tried the Noisia sound and failed! They are kings and have been making these sounds since the early 00's, truly are among the best producers of our time.
It's all about clever resampling... thius might help you http://www.dogsonacid.com/showthread.ph ... did=298904
They often talk about really basic shit you'd just never think to do like automation of volume on distortion units... the sky's the limit!

Not me until recently. It hit me like a train and was total "why the fuck didn't I think of that" moment! There are a million ways to create movement though what i've said above is merely an example. Like you say automate fukken anything

i had some interview with them somewhere on my mac ( ill upload it when i find it ) basically they were saying with most of their bass sounds they have that many plug ins on them that it overloads the cpu so they have to bounce down and use as audio
