use a cuple of analogue modelled VSTs, like the arturia minimoog and arp, n the korg poly 6 n MS20, but nt the original units.

I have a Moog MG-1 (their budget Radio Shack model) which I used to use for DnB production, and it rocks - but recently it's gotten super noisy, so I'm not using it anymore. I might try and work it in again though, maybe with a noise gate to cut out the excess fuzz. It's great for warm analog subs, wobbles, filtersweeps and bleeps.
Some of the early digital synths sound like analog - I also have a Casio CZ-101 which makes great bass sounds because the architecture is part digital, part analog and it's got an 8-step envelope.

I've ordered an
MOTM modular synth which should arrive in a month or so... it takes a while to make because it has to be hand-assembled. It doesn't get more analog than that!
It has MIDI control as well, which is essential. It'll provide a nice complement to the synths in Logic that I usually use... can't wait until it gets here!

Analogue all the way !!!
Some of my favourite bits in the studio:
./ Oxford Synthesizer Company - OSCar
./ Roland - SH-101
./ Paia Fatman
./ Gemini Combo Organ
./ Moogerfooger Ring Modulator
./ Sherman Filterbank
./ Electro-Harmonix Big Muff
./ TLA EQ & PreAmps
./ Mackie Desk
./ Akai Reel 2 Reel
You really cannot beat the analogue signal path. I swear by it.

Well, the MOTM system I ordered is pretty simple, as far as they go, but I'll add to it over time.
It's got one
Oscillator, one MS-20
Filter, a
Suboctave Multiplexer for serious analog bass, a couple of ADSRs, an
LFO and a VCA. Oh, and a lag module and a
MIDI interface and a power supply.
Once I get comfortable with it I'll add a second VCO and some
more filters. The final piece of the puzzle will be a Cyndustries
FM Oscillator, which looks like most insane fucker ever.
It's certainly expensive but I think this thing will last me basically forever.

Yeh I love me analog gear...
Got a modified mc-202 (analogue solutions mod) - similar layout to 303 but with the sound engine of the sh-101. A lot of my bass sounds come from this thing...
Also have a DSI evolver which is wicked for bleepy electro sounds, also good as an external fx unit.
Waldorf Pulse was my 1st analog piece - still gets used once in a while.
Also have an old Akai VX-90 which is good for pads big leads. Sounds a bit weak but after processing sounds wicked usually.
Just invested in a modular ... which I been wanting for years. Got mine from Analogue Systems and Analogue Solutions - 2 osc. filter, vca, env for the moment... gonna add some more when I got more cash.
And boy ... I been drooling over the Cyndustries Zeroscillator for a few weeks now. Too sick.
