Title sums it up nicely. I use Logic Pro 9 and NI Massive. I have a tiny bit of experience with DAW's, and I know some basic production techniques, but I'm nowhere near satisfied with my ability yet. Right now I use some presets I downloaded for Massive. The "Skrillex and Datsik" packages. I just use those presets and try to make them sound a bit unique using bit crushers, phasers etc. I'd like to learn the in's and out's of NI Massive, however. I want to understand oscillators and different wave lengths. I want to come up with my own sounds. I want to hear something in my head and be able to reproduce it. Growls, full DnB basslines, yah's, deep subs, etc. I need someone who thinks they'd be able to truly help me progress online. I'm willing to pay, of course. I'm sure we could work something out over PayPal. I have Skype, AIM, Facebook, and MSN.

For the record; I'm aware what I'm essentially asking is to be taught to make my own "brostep" stuff, and that there are lots of tutorials online. However, I really am not sure where to begin; and I feel like nothing can beat one on one lessons from a professional. And while I enjoy the "deeper" side of "true" dubstep, I'm really only interested in learning the more midrange-ish style for now. Obviously I'd like to learn about subs as well, however.

I have a little track I made to give you an idea of the level I'm at right now. Keep in mind I used all presets on this track and didn't create any of these sounds myself. I simply composed the piece and made the beat.

It would also help to know how to get fantastic quality without clipping all the time as you can tell I tend to do. =/

I apologize for any confusion, but I was hoping to sort of be taken under someone's wing and shown the ins and outs of using Massive and basic dubstep production. Someone to just treat me like I have no idea what I'm doing and who will slowly take me through every feature/nuance and explain them to me patiently.

Think you can sign up to those online production courses if that's what you need.
Otherwise just do it yourself and learn as you go along. It's slower process but then you hit that learning curve and boom!

I'm kind of hoping I'll find someone who know exactly what it is I'm trying to do and will cater to my personal goals. While the online courses are an option, I'd rather have someone "unofficial" help me, if that makes sense. Maybe I'm just weird?

To me it either means you want someone of the supposed "Underground" thing or someone who is also near your level so it becomes a bit of a partnership in production.

Hmm, I'm not totally sure how much further I can clarify my situation. I'm certainly not at any professional level by any means, so I don't know why you'd think I'd want someone near that to teach me, haha. I don't want someone whose "job" it is to teach this stuff either, though. I want someone with the knowledge who will sort of take me under their wing and stick with me until I'm ready to leave the nest, so to speak. I find I learn things much better when I have a more personal relationship with a teacher.

I get where youre coming from but I reckon you just need to read more, check out the production bible in the stickies at the top. Read it all and try everything, expirimentation will get you a lot further than you probably realise.

Check out youtube tutorials on massive and logic and ask any specific questions you have, people on here are properly helpful and knowledgable.

To me it sounds like you're looking for a "quick fix" to becoming good. In all truth there is no way... all the best producers out there didn't get big by learning from someone ya know. They figured out their own ways of crafting sounds that emulate their style. You can't get that overnight, it takes years of practice and trial and error. I would suggest just ploughing on. Don't dick around on one tune. Learn new techniques and put them into a song. Save it.. start a new song and learn new techniques... constiually push forward

Seriously though, read threads and teach yourself. There's no quick way... this is a good place to start though. I gave a listen to your track, its a good start. Sound design/synthesis is the hardest part though imo - I always listen to a bass patch I've created, listen to genetix or some shit and then get frustrated cause of how awesome Termination sounds. If I could give you some words of advice for massive though (which I haven't even bothered to look at in a while) make use of the modulation oscillator. Ring Mod, FM...

Learning yourself gives you your own sound i always thought,, as your reaching for a knob thinking "that sounded good last time" rather than "this is supposed to sound good because other people do it"

I think you'll have as much luck learning from someone over AIM/the internet as you do by reading the stickies and tutorials.

The only way to get what you're suggesting is to meet someone IRL. Start going to parties, meet producers, if they think you've got potential they might invite ya over. (I know you're 16 but that didn't stop our boy in town here, now he gets to hang with all the movers and shakers and is still in high school, big ups) WATCH the way they work. The workflow. LISTEN to what they're telling you instead of just waiting for your turn to knob twiddle.

Hands on experience and/or a mentor will always trump whatever bullshit internet tutorial you can find., although some of that info can be quite useful.

I type really fast and could explain 10 things IRL while sitting at the console in the same amount time it takes me to properly explain one single concept by typing. Find a mentor in real life. If you can't do that, then what everyone else said: Like anything, practice makes perfect! IMHO theres not much you're gonna learn by paying an internet tutor that you can't learn on your own for less money and perhaps even less time. Unless you got some kinda sick videoconferencing setup or something.

Guys, cut the OP a bit of slack here - he has clearly stated that he has watched tutorials, and is looking for a professional tutor. There is nothing wrong with that; everyone learns in different ways.
