I recently finished up my first dubstep mix a few weeks ago and it is 15 minutes long. How long do you guys usually make yours and can you listen to mine and tell me if I am on the right track please!

i go until my first serious fuck up- most ive managed so far is 28 minutes


so much pressure when i looked at the clock trying to get to half an hour haha

I suppose when you upload to YouTube 15 minutes is as much as you're going to get without upgrading your account ha ha. Personally I'd aim for at least an hour, unless a time has been specified by whoever your sending mixes to.

Yea that is as much as I could upload to youtube, maybe I'll make an hour long mix and put it on soundcloud.

an hour normally, hard to get them perfect but normally they're not bad

aslong as i can be bothered tbh.

if im feeling it i can record for ages, but if im not the in the right mind-set i end up fucking up 15 minutes through trying to be a don lol

As long as the promoter/organisator wants me to play.

Don't do a lot of recording because I'm a huge perfectionist. Need at least a promo mix soon though.

usually around an hour, sometimes around 2 hours if im in the right mood

anything less than an hour just seems pointless to me.

maybe if i just mixed 16 bars of a song into the intro of the incoming tune everytime, but i like to really let the mix ride normally into the breakdown of the incoming

if you're doing it for promotional purposes, try to fill up the 80 minutes available on a cdr.

approx 1 hour long is appropriate I'd say.

Between half an hour and an hour depending on what its for......never any less than half an hour tho.

at least half n hour.. normally stop after a messup or around the 50 minute mark!

Quite cool to hear other people talk about this... tbh I'm crap but I try and get out ten tracks now however long that might be. I do mess up though, a lot, and sometimes end up stitching two shorter mixes together.

Try to aim for another but never quite get there.

I just put a load of tunes together I like that I think will be around the 50/60 minute point and then have it done. Don't wanna push it unless it all goes down the pan.

you don't care about how long people make their mixes, you just want people to check out your mix.

usually I make them +- 45 mins

around a hour
