i saw this peace in my friend's studio...SICK..since then i'm constantly thinkin' uf robbin' his ass. you can make wobles with just movin' your arm man, i mean this has sum light sensor that is the sickiest think i've ever seen. Any comment on this unit??? I'm particulary interested if that can double with success as a midi controller??? How worthy are the delay & reverb fx???

p.s. i'm sellin' my wife on the ebay for one uf those...bahahahaha

The 101 is analogue and the 201 is digital. You cant get bass out of the 201 that will get anywhere near the 101.

My 101 destroys my virus when it comes to bass. Also because of the extreme reasonance of its analogue filter its awesome for effects especially when combined with a distortion pedal.

The next pedal I'm after is a Big Muff or one of the Boss Chorus pedals.

201 seems more tricky to me, i won't use it only for the bass i want to double it as midi controller. In the 101 there is no patch memory storage and although it has no MIDI there i think/altough there shouldn't be a problem to be controlled by MIDI using a CV/MIDI converter/. It lacks this light sensor thats allowing you to control the shit with movements of your arm - this was the shit that impressed me the most to be honest :))) I heard nice pads comming from it 2. Since it analogue there is no doubt wich one's better for bass, but 201 sounds pretty much close to analogue...+i like to twist them knobs ..a lot :)

@Daft tnuc do you've one of those? if yes my wife's still for sell/trade hahahahahhha

Nope, don't have it (yet?). Still hesitating between these 2 & the Evolver.
I'm glad I don't have the cash yet and can think longer.

Shouldn't be too hard to find it. Just your wife's to be hot.

never used the 101, but the 201 sounds good, but is a bit toyish for my tastes. really, it feels like an empty, plastic, keyboard. you'd think that for the money your spending, they could afford a bit of metal?

What about an Alesis Ion? Same price, much better synth, metal, and no gimmicks like the d-beam...

101 is the business

I have a SH-101, and I would not trade for anything in the world. The 201 does look sick, though ...
