Soundcloud

If you ever played Worms Armageddon or Worms World Party, this is the track for you
There's two distinct drops, so be sure to listen for both. This first is around 1:07 and the second is around the 2:55 mark

It should also be noted that I neglected to add a sub part, the drops could be built up a little more, and I shamelessly smashed it to make it louder. It's a little rough around the edges

Bump

Bro, I am loving this track... I think the arpeggios are nice. The drums are awesome. I like how it's not all about the wobble... some sick sh*t bro...

Thanks for the feedback! I'm trying to fashion my tracks more as songs instead of just drops

This is a very dirty track, the composition is absolutely great but the sound is a little bit stuffed. What are you exporting this from?

Sorry NVM, heh, wow such a noob move, my soundcard volume was way down (I just finished a session in Live, its a bit louder than Firefox)

This is sounding quite good actualy, altho I would turn down the synths a tiny bit, and your bass kick should be more prominent.
I think a decent guideline is your kick as the top elements for example if you mix it at 0db your bass should be around -10db or a bit higher, same for your synth (the harder ones) Then your pad/strident elements should be according to some peole around -15/-18db ... i say anywhere under your bass that sounds good to you. It will sound kinda low but then put a proper limting job on your master bus and you will wet your pants.

Edit: i know none of this takes into accoubt the proper headroom your track needs to go off for mastering but if you are exporting just to upload here you are likely "normalizing" the output anyways so it doesnt matter.

Ah, thanks for the advice. After going back and listening to it, the bends in the drop are way quieter than the wobbles. I should fix that. Thanks for noticing the drum bit. I think I'll scoop some frequencies out of other elements to get the drums to cut through. Part of the reason I think they got pushed back like they did is because I threw a really cruddy multiband compressor setting over the rendered wave to smooth the sound out a bit. I mean look at it, there's no dynamics!

Time to bust out the audio elbow grease
