Mac .RAR problem

for some reason whenever i try to extract a .RAR in osx it always comes up with an error. this happens so reliably i avoid downloading .RAR's. this sucks cuz there's mad sample packs in .RAR format.
anybody else have this problem? know how to fix it?
im running macOS X 10.4.9 and using stuffit expander and the archive utility. nothing .RARed works! why???????!!!!???

hmmm, I've never had any problems with stuffit expander. Do you have .rar's set to open with something other than stuffit?
or just go with unrarx

I had troubles with StuffIt Expander and BOMarchive-whatever-you-call-it built into OS X. But UnRarX is a good solution. I agree with those above.

Not sure if it handles .exe packages but Unarchiver is wicked shit.

i used UnrarX for RARs - id recommend it
stuffit pro for everything else

you can't unless you are running bootcamp or parallel or something.
exe are PC specific only.
