Computer Music : Mixing Guide

I picked up this beaut after much picking up and putting back down in WHsmiths the other day. It has been well worth the 9.99 I paid for it!!
I am not a true beginner when it comes to mixing down, I feel I know how to get a good mix but the great mixes seem to be pot-luck so I decided for once in my life, to invest in some knowledge to make my music better.
It covers literally everything you'll need to improve your mix down - each stage of divided into 5-6 page spreads. EQing, monitor placement, compression & Limiting, signal paths, explains digital degrading of a signal REALLY good as well as using reverb, delay and that - fx chains such and such..
Everything explained has 3 choices of what software to use too.. highend, middle mark and cheapest for great quality.
I think if you have a spare couple of quid and need some new reading material (even if its for the toilet) its well worth the buy.. Ive been away for the last week and been reading it while away from my DAW but I feel my knowledge is already 20 times better without even trying anything out .. As much as I don't rate Computer Music to better my music making - this one is a good buy!
Lets just hope the samples are decent hah!!!
: I also picked up the "effects special" as I feel I am a bit bummed when it comes to using FX's and thats a brilliant read too!!
Anyways, just thought i'd bring this guide to your attention!!
