2nd hand Trigger Finger would be a better investment IMO. Double the number of pads, more space, still got twisty knobs, and got a few sliders.

Already got the knobs and faders on the keyboard and never felt like I needed more.
Plus the MPD18 has as many pads as the Trigger Finger and I read several reviews saying the latter is cheap built.
I'm concerned about the quality of the MPD pads as well tho. The MPD series isn't exactly built like a tank either tho I read a review of a guy who claims he had an MPC2000 and says the MPD18, which is the latest to date, is exactly the same...

Is the Nanopad2 as fragile as its younger brother ?

I haven't tried the 18, I have tried first gen 32, and a few of the others, and the pads were stiff and generally dukie.

I've said it a hundred (prolly more) times the PadKontrol pads have the best feel outside of og mpcs. They actually don't have great feel, ha, they will start to hurt your fingers after a couple of hours, but in terms of their sensitivity and responsiveness to playing, they're the best in my experience.

Would be interested in the 18 if it feels like an og mpc.
