Wondered why this was trending on Twitter today

TFC was the better game and free too. I always thought TF2 should be free, especially because it 'feels' like it should. I didn't really like it to be honest, much more of a QTF and TFC puritan

well, it'll make it alot easier for me to rack up points with the massive influx of noobs this brings!

Ah they ruined TF2 man. I remember playing it competitively, was fun. Was never going to work though, Valve always intended it to be a pubbie game.

I have some concerns about this (namely about the economy and cheaters), but overall this is great.

Yeah TFC is where it's at. I want to reinstall it for some dustbowl and 2fort action.
TF2 was cool at first but got old to me quick. Just something about that old tfc/dod/cs gameplay that keeps me coming back.

Will be rinsing this as soon as its downloaded!

TFC Dustbowl describes my early teens perfectly (as sad as that sounds). DoD 1.5 was the one as well.

I like TF2, I ain't much of a competitive gamer anymore and CS/ CS :S was my game anyways so its nice to play a game properly aimed for public play.

plus im loving how quite a few p2p games have gone free to play

Used to love that game, haven't played it in ages, the huge amount of new weapons and weird items completely alienated my from getting back into it properly.

Looks like they've slowly morphed it into a cash shop model. Personally I'm really not a big fan of that, and don't play games where you have to pay real money for special armour/items etc.

I was playing last night and was top of the team every map I played without any special unlocks - they really don't give an unfair advantage.

gonna have to get this now, never actually played it. always been cs:s for me, spent far too long on that game

Back when you had to pay £15 a month just for an ISP and then 2p per minute to use dialup internet on top, I managed to rinse up a £600 phone bill in quarter.

Fucking brillaint game. Overall I don't think online gaming is as good as it used to be because of the console kids but I am really looking forward to BF3. Love to sit in on a horrible winters night with a good online game, few bottles, bag of green and the lights low.

it feels like a slow quake 3/quake live. And not as polished or competitive.

Played this from the start and started with it again a month ago. Sounds kind of eletist but the
amount of the new players now screws with the quality of the servers I play on most of the time (Lotus clan, Uberium and Lokalen).
Now I'm just signing up as a coach everytime so the engis know what to do

Amount of items is a little overwhelming but they definitely add a lot to the game. No need to pay money for any of them either.

They can give it away for free now because the make enough money by selling virtual hats and shit.
