reviewer seems more elitist than ignorant

1.5 is petty, takes away from the review even if it makes some sound points

seriously. and i'm no jamie xx fanboy, but Far Nearer kills it on the dancefloor EVERYTIME, and i think it has soul. melancholy soul. the steel drums DONT push it over the edge, they actually give the tune some character. I think it's the reviewers own distorted worldview that has him hearing some Burial every time someone pitches a vocal down. i wouldn't give this tune a 10/10 but come on now. 1.5 out of 5? i don't even know what to say. save all the bile and hate for skrillex reviews.


also the comments section is equally nauseating. i dont know what those people's problem is...

a point the writer doesnt acknowledge is that the tracks were made long before the elements that sound sort of obvious now became post-dubstep cliches... the checklist the writer refers to at the end was practically part written by jamie xx was it not?

I like it.

The song is mediocre at best. The vocals really annoy me. That being said, it's still not deserving of the uber harsh criticism the reviewer dished out.
