Anyone Make Tunes On Trains?

Working in the city I've got about an hour and a halfs commute each way every day, I figured this would be perfect time to produce as I didn't have time outside of work. So I got a laptop and some decent headphones and I love it! it can be a bit fiddley with the laptop mouse sometimes but its really good inspiration looking out at the scenery. I find myself getting into it too much sometimes tho and I get some odd looks for my head-nodding.

Any other Ninja's on the train producing flex?

That is a long commute! Woah hope the job is worth it. 3 hours everyday, good man for getting that production time in, why not. I sometimes produce on a long journey like 3 hours plus. Its different from being in the studio but don't bother with it often. The person sitting next to you is normally thinking what the hell is that? Advanced Lego design? Nah its just Ableton mate.

I hate laptop touchpads.
It would drive me mad.
But if I had 3 hours a day to twiddle, I would.

Yeah I've been quite lucky with my battery, I guess because it's band new its has about 3 hours in it, which is about perfect, and if I get bored of producing I can just open rosetta stone and learn some more French!

yeah i used to when i had a laptop, may aswell use the time productively. you gotta sort out your mixes once you get home and on your monitors but i found it's great to get ideas down.

also don't you guys have trains with plug sockets on them? there are quite a few train services that have them.

Some of em do, unfortunately I am a commuter of London Underground, the hight of luxury on those trains are windows that open slightly.

ah fair enough, generally i've noticed the trains down south are wank compared to ones in other areas. when i lived in midlands every train i got would have plug sockets.

Where the hell did you get trains in the midlands? I used to go around Notts / Derby / Sheffield / Leicester / Peterborough / Birmingham quite a lot and it was all shitty local services with clapped out trains unless you were on one of about three intercity routes.

from stoke going either north/south. i did find going from stoke to nottingham was one of the most unnecessarily long train journeys ever, took nearly 3 hours but would take bout an hour in a car and the train was an old piece of shit.
