Cheers glad you guys found it helpful like. Its one of those areas in music that until ur aware of it, when it is working properly you take it for granted, and when it not working you know something is wrong but cant quite put your finger on it...
Raggles - not sure what you mean by blend your transisitions. What the article is saying is how your musical phrases should be talking to each other. The best analogy is a conversation, how one person asks a question (musical phrase 1) and another answers (musical phrase 2). If there is a specific bit your not sure of please let me know and will look to explain more clearly and update the post...
