Hard time putting multiple basslines in a song/ Low freq FXs

Hi,

I just started producing again and eveything is going nice, I'm making tons of basses which have sh!tloads of potential and sound really good, but the problem is that I suck at putting them in a song, when the amount of basslines goes over 1. 99% of the time they're decomplimenting eachother. Any tips on smooth tricks how to make it easier? Or what parameters should I be looking when putting 2 different basslines in one song?

Also I'm quite interested in this low-freq effect, often heard in DnB songs, like here @ 0:51-0:52.

Is it just a frequency automation?

Forgot to mention - I use Reason 5.

Sounds like just a bit of pitch modulation.

For different bass lines, I just make sure that the sub oscillator (sine usually) is at the same octave, amplitude, etc, then just change the other oscillators on the synth, making sure each bass line is just as full as the others.

I've had more success bouncing and chopping up basslines when doing a anything anything midrangey. Also a good way to get a bit of glitchy-ness in there.
