I'm gonna spam you with one of mine to get started. Tried to stay away from tunes that have been rinsed in every mix for the past 6 months, so hopefully you're feeling some of the fresh sounds. Big up to all the artists included.

Yeah, this will look a lot nicer and make the main thread a lot easier to get,
May I suggest when quoting people take out the mix your commenting on, we'll know which mix from who your quoting, will make this one clearer aswell,

I preferred it when it was called deep/darker dubstep.

Was certainly best when it was all just dubstep. Pigeonholing doesn't exactly aid creativity, or do a scene any favours. But it's inevitable really, and has been going on for a long long time now. Plus I reckon this pigeonhole is about as good as they come! Does seem to have sapped my own motivation to produce or mix though - got sucked into it way more than with any previous trend, and it felt like trying to ride someone else's wave or something. Even though I've been into this kind of sound all along. Posting my (three month old) mix above has left me feeling a bit dirty now too, lol!

Hey thanks for the support man! Thats actually like the second real tune I ever wrote haha, so shocked to see it still getting love!

As for me, I might as well participate... this is entirely dungeon, it starts off dark ass left field hiphop, moves to some tribal bits, some dmz classics, ect...

But it fits the vibe im seeing in here!

Man, you speak the truth. I hear ya on all accounts.

Definitely gonna be hard to fight a way through the band wagon jumpers to get noticed for new producers now. But the good ones always get the credit they deserve eventually.
