so i was thinking this afternoon at work

if someone posts a tune of theirs at 128kbps because they dont want it circulated and someone else downloads it.

what would stop them getting some mp3 compression free software and making it a 320?

would that work?
i have no idea when it comes to these tech matters

128kbps compresion is worst quality than 320kbps.
When you make a 128 to a 320 it would still be the quality of 128.

Is that really why people do that? I thought it was a bandwidth thing. I wouldn't want any of my stuff listened to at 128...especially dubstep.

if you increase the resolution from 128 to 320 youve only made the file bigger, not made it sounds better

you can never add resolution you can only take it away

enlarge someones 72dpi avatar pic to 8.5"x11" to get a keen visual of this concept...
