I once paid £50 for the promo copy of Louise - Naked (Tony De Vit remix)
4m45s onwards still gets the hairs on the back of my neck to stand up.

I've paid some outrageous amounts for rock records when I was flipping them on ebay.... but as far as dance music I paid like $80 for a colored version of Blue Boy- Dub a Dutch.
Paid a few hundred bucks for my moving shadow pizza box set but thats multiple 12"s so not really just 1 record.

Never really paid much more than standard RRP I think but I do own a couple CDs that are worth a fortune, I keep them at my parents for safe keeping!
Drill EP (CD) - worth about £150
College EP (Vinyl) - worth about £250 but I was offered $400 (Canadian) for it.
I also have a DAT recording of all the stuff that didn't make it onto the I Might Be Wrong EP, it's all mixed and ready to go on the EP but it wasn't used in the end. I'm not sure how much that is worth but it's pretty unique one way or another.
I'd never sell any of it, am a massive Radiohead fan and I just couldn't. Even when I've been skint and desperate for money I haven't even been tempted to sell them for a quick buck.

£10 inc p&p and it pissed me off spending that much
i seem to have a knack for finding gems cheaply, and i tend to buy most of the new releases i want when they come out so rarely find that i've missed stuff. still got the odd few that got away though
