A laid back tune I've been working on for a little while. It's nothing groundbreaking, but I think it's nice. I'm no good at making wobbles so I try to make up for it with vibes
Soundcloud
Suggestions welcome.

if you're gonna shoot for this kind of thing, automating the reverbs and the volume of the various instruments is going to be really important.
You're doing really good, its going to need a bunch of detail work. Personally i feel like the beat doesn't match the synths to make a good groove, also the beat is way too low in volume.
Please finish this! you have skill.

Cool tune! Its got a wicked chill feeling through out it and nice ear candy to keep the listener interested. Keep up the good work man!

Much appreciated, guys. I've only recently gotten to the point where I'm laying out full tunes, so I guess the detailed editing and mixdown are the next learning experiences on the list.
I find that listening to the same loops over and over while I'm writing leads to a sort of habituation - I'm so used to the parts as they are that it becomes difficult to change them.
My solution is to leave it for a while and come back when it's sounding less familiar, and also to listen and take notes about what I could change. Anybody have any other strategies they find useful?

yeah i've been struggling with structuring out tracks for the past year or so. Just like making loops, you sit down for one sitting and really push yourself to work methodically.
I work 2 ways, either by starting from the begining and listening till i hear something i don't like/something that needs changing, and just doing that over and over again, or by doing massive copy pasting and varying stuff up, going through the song bar by bar adding stuff not quite at random but something like that.
Usually i do the latter step first, then the first step to correct the many errors thats produced by not taking a step back and listening to everything in context.
