Yeah bitches, that day is today. :h:
Some cool new stuff added in including the WALTER customizable interface.
Check it out here.

Who's tried this yet? There's been beta releases for a while so people might have already gotten a taste. Pretty excited myself, just one more step towards Reaper dominating the daw market.

here soon ill be seeing how i feel about a logic reaper rewire scenerio. just got a mac, cuz i use logic on all my collabs with TZR so i got very confortable with it and needed a better cpu. Gonna be hard to flat out ditch reaper though. walter is tight but doubt ill go in and program anythign with it, but some of the themes are amazing now utilizing walter. been messign with the beta for awhile honestly not alot of improvements that affected how i work, it was already rad. midi upgrades were clutch though, feels a bit smoother and easy now. biggup cockos.

Yeah definitely is. With this version I'm gonna try to put in the work and actually customize it to my tastes. There's a lot of actions that could be automated and assigned to a button on a toolbar. Setting up screensets is mint too, instead of wishing I had three monitors.

I think Reaper is seeking to be the enigma of the daw world. With versatile interface and action customization along with a healthy userbase of uploaded themes, etc. it's going to give people the ability to smoothly transition from other daws. There's emphasis on tailoring it to your workflow, not the other way around. I'm waiting for a cheesy viral video campaign of "How do YOU Reaper?" with a bunch of shots of artsy kids with crossed arms, on about how they do it their way.

It is amazing how far they've come. I remember hearing little squeaks from them a few years ago, and now bammo. Have occassionally been doing these massive audio projects, something FL is not really built for. Maybe time to retry reaper.

I've been meaning to try Reaper for some time but I need to find plugins to replace my beloved ones from Ableton first :P

Yeah I get plugin envy from Ableton and Logic sometimes. Most of it is replaceable with 3rd party stuff but there's a few that are unique in their sound or implementation that I wish I could get a hold of sometimes.

Speaking of plugins I just organized mine into categories. I can already tell it's gonna save me a bunch of time instead of trying to remember who makes that certain compresssor, etc. In Reaper, just right click under My Folders in the plugin window and add as many categories as you want. Assign plugins to the folders by right clicking on them.

Really wish there was sub categories though! It's been asked for but not implemented yet. Really want to be able to sub-categorize my dynamics plugins into compressors, limiters, gates, etc. A work around is using plugin chains instead as they can be sub-categorized :W:

Like just now? Crazy man. Sucks though.

Somebody tell me whether or not the vst version of reaEQ also has specrum analyzer now. If it does, I will be happy.

I have been using the Beta for 3-4 months now.
Without any issues.
Fully customizable.

Sunklo - you know that it has a filter at the bottom of the fx window.
Type in the first few characters of the plugin and it filters all your plugins to only display the relevant plugins.

I played with it a few weeks ago and it took me absolutely no time at all to set up a beat and a few melodies, add FX.etc. was very intuitive.

This is the one thing I hate about ableton's EQ. Otherwise it's awesome. Logic spoiled me. haha

Graphical FFT EQ/dynamics processing is handy enough imo.
