I'm downloading. Finding this an improvement on bassline of recent years, some good tunes about.

Serious lack of "U Wot?" and "Heartbroken" here, but will give it a chance.
Nah, this looks sick, downloading now.

I like this stuff as the other side of the coin to the super serious dubstep house progressive slow build up boom boom boom music that's around at the moment. It's fun, it's spazzy, energetic, weird song structures, crazy snares.
It reminds me of when Dubstep was all about drum patterns and every song was different and people were trying to out do eachother with how far they could push it.
also, Illmana, Notts bassline producer who made "shut your mouth rudeboy", has been making some really good experimental spacey 2step things http://soundcloud.com/illmana/sets/remixs/check out Shakedown. I really want that tune to play out, Illmana, if you're reading please check your inbox
I love that this stuff revives the Social Circles style production/structures, it's just pure fun to mix dance music.

To be fair, this stuff sounds nothing like proper bassline house.
Old skool bassline was like RIP Groove and Show Me Love on steroids, then it crossed over with Dexplicit/Sticky/dark 4x4 and that's the sound most of us will know as Bassline/Niche.. this is stuff is very far removed, and hardly has any of the characteristics of the classic Bassline House sound, as it's not 4 on the floor, isn't warp warp warp warp on the beat and doesn't have the cheese organ party sound.
If dubstep is aloud to have been caled 5000 different things since 2003, I think this stuff is ok changing name when it's lost it's roots........

I think perhaps the dropping of the 4x4 has allowed DJs who would't pick the stuff from 2008 kinda type up because it was too stompy, this has more swing, just like people in dubstep swung stuff up a lot more to make a point that it's different from stale half step. Definitely scope for cross pollination.
