Harsh kicks?

Ok I know I just made a thread an hour ago but I felt I had to make another one because people who won't open my other thread might open this one because they know more about this subject than the other.

Ok.

I don't understand why my kicks sound so harsh/loud compared to everything else. It's annoying.

The track I am talking about is in my sig (inb4 flame).

Is it just my dumbass speakers or are they not sticking with the sub and are loud as shit? idk. It might be because I lose alot of bass after around 50hz so the sub isn't as noticeable/loud.

Suggestions and tips and help would be appreciated but you don't have to listen to my dumbass sig because you know, I'm just plugging myself because I care that much about my plays on Soundcloud.

EDIT: OOOOH SHIT. I CHANGED MY SIG AND I FORGOT TO PUT A LINK TO THE TRACK IN THE OP. MY BAD. HERE IS THE LINK:

I don't see a problem with harshness in your kick. If anything, it could use a bit of top-end, if only to keep track of it during those occasional rolls -- right now, it's a bit muffled and dark. Compared to your sub, it is a bit loud; just lower it by a few decibels and you'll be okay, I feel. Or raise your sub. ;)
Side note: are those arpeggios (towards the end) programmed? They sound great, mate.

Only you can know what your sexual preference is. No, what I was talking about was that your kick isn't all that bad, compared with the rest. Synthesis needs some work, percussion and progression leaves something to be desired.

Thank you :D

Yeah, they are programmed, I don't have a MIDI controller so I have to program everything pretty much. although I have mastered the art of playing the QWERTY keyboard pretty well.

Doesn't sound harsh it actually sounds a little weak compared to the rest, the sub is fairly quiet as well and the melody is quite repetitive but not in a good way kind of like nyan cat.. the synthesis could use more work, no-one's hating at all its called feedback.. :)

chad your melodies and such are pretty nice. much better than i can do. but your sounds do sound a little basic with not much character. sort of presetish.

as far as the kick it does sound a little crappy on these laptop speakers but i obviously can't give feedback on a kick with laptop speakers. but the drums sound a bit dirty south rappish lol. reminds me of when boy in a band does his tutorials on dirty south drums.

keep it up though. like how you sorta just do your own thing with music. your songs are def different than most here.

If anything on these RP6's, the kick is a little lost! Needs some top end, some parallel compression.. That sort of that

*AHEM* Check out my YouTube kick tutorial it's about 5 threads down *AHEM*
