Uncomfortable blasting your own music?

So I'll be making a track (a new beat in this case), and I'll like it, but not enough to blast it as I would with other people's songs. What is this? Is it just me being self conscious?
I've been thinking about this and I came up with this idea that music's meaning is in the listener, so maybe I don't adore my own stuff like I do other people's stuff just because I can't pin an artificial meaning on it. Idk. Just me thinking out loud.

I know I shouldn't post a reply but I will be nice. I think it's all about doing the right EQing. I can definitely hear a little bit of clashing between your high notes and your kicks. Try and eq out the lower frequencies in your lead and cut out some opf the higher frequencies in your kick.
Maybe lowpass the lead to take out some of the high pitched harshness. It's pretty melodic though. A nice start.

Plus it's only 20 seconds. It doesn't really stick in your memory. Make some new verses and drops, etc.

You have too high of expectations...You can't be the next Zomboy in a day

Make a rough copy of it, take out a couple friends, play your track, and don't say a word

Well my kick has absolutely no high end so idk how it could be clashing lol. I'll check it out. I'll also work with the lead to maybe LP it a little. Thanks.

On the topic of the thread, its normal, your musics not there yet, keep at it. When you get cocky enough to wanna hear it on something a few thousand watts big play out, when you hit the top of the gain on your monitors, show it to your friends and any girls that are around.

in all honesty hell yea i blast my own tunes. i actually crack jokes to my friends often saying "yep, i blast my own music in my car lol". most of the time i design my sub bass to how i want it to sound like in my car. i have my subs going 24/7 at full blast, so i make my songs accordingly. i love bumping tracks be it my own or someone more famous than me.

same thing happens to me. i could blast a sort of mediocre track by someone else but not a mediocre track that i have created. i just don't enjoy my tracks as much as i would someone elses. its like chasing the dragon for me just chasing that feeling where the first day i start a track it sounds good then the next day it sounds alright then the next day it sounds like shit. i just then start something new and it just repeats. that good euphoric feeling will never stick.

I always blast my own music, when its finished...I don't 'finish' a track unless I love it and think its timeless so why wouldn't I blast it? haha!
Until I am 200% happy though, it stays on the headphones at a nice volume.

I blast my own tunes all the time. 80% of the time, I listen to my own tracks rather than any other artist. Don't ever think of your own work as mediocre. Always think of your track as a great track, man, and you won't feel so iffy about playing your tracks in front of people. Try to find opportunities to blast your tracks for a crowd of people (like I do at my church) and I can almost guarantee you won't regret it.

If I blast one of my tunes, I wait for someone to get bored and change it, anxiously waiting for the moment when someone's going to say it sucks, and no one ever does. I randomly happened to glance at how many times one of my friends have played the few tunes I sent him, over 30 times within the month I'd showed him...
So you never know. Blast it. Fuck bitches get money.

And if you're worried about people saying bad things about your music.. Wait till they do something they enjoy and say its shit.
For instance, a skateboarder I know said my music is boring and next time I was with him - he did a perfect treyflip; he looked all smug - I told him it looked terrible and he should give up.
If people whip the smile off your face, do the same thing to them haha!
It IS funny how people are so critical of music and think they're experts even though most of them know fuck all.

and about my church... yeah, we do things a bit different. Friday night, I got through DJing there with my friend (dmisreal) and we played dubstep, dnb, and house. Afterwards, us and the thousands of kids who were there all went to sunsplash for 9-10 hours overnight.
