Question about Drug Tests

I just got hired to one of those kiosks in the middle of a mall near me. I read the drug test policy and one parts states that the sample lab can customarily take blood or urine samples. Now, I read from the dictionary and the definition is:

Definition of customary: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/customary

1
: based on or established by custom
2
: commonly practiced, used, or observed

— cus·tom·ar·i·ly adverb
— cus·tom·ar·i·ness noun

Now based on the definition. It confuses me a bit. By commonly practiced, used and observed, it means it has been widely accepted as the norm, right? Or does that mean they perform random drug tests?

They would say random drug tests if they randomly selected people for drug testing (usually via a computer system). What they probably mean is they have been known to drug test, and it's possible you might be drug tested. Usually if someone is injured on the job, or suspected of something like stealing, they might drug test. More often than not, it's when an injury occurs.

I wouldn't worry about it though, it's a kiosk in a mall?

it's probably just written into the contract so if they have to they can test you. they probably won't unless you give them a reason to.
