I'm confused....

I know the studio 9 includes logic pro 9, but can you not just get it by itself?
Or is the extra $300 worth the other things in the pack....
I just bought a Macbook pro today and love it. I plan on buying logic soon. I just need to get this cleared up lol.

:) thanks!

looks like you can only upgrade from Express to Studio, but I highly recommend it. you get a ton of loops and sound effects that all sound great. and you get a few extra programs like Soundtrack and a few others. I actually bought my upgrade from amazon and saved about $50-$60 including shipping compared to Apple's website.

You can't get Logic 9 by itself. They started bundling it as studio starting with Logic 8. The extra $300 is well worth it. You get the es2, ultrabeat, sculpture, space designer, it's like night and day from express.

Also apple loops utility is a decent programme.Bit like reason recycle.I slice up my loops with it then drop the loop in battery 3,you can set battery so all the slices get their own cells. Its mental doing it with acapellas you can do glitch editing real easy.

You get the es2 and ultrabeat with logic 9 express. Studio is the best option obviously but if you are on a budget Express is still a great buy and all you need to get going making tunes.

Yesh Express 7 was pretty limited. Didn't even have exs24! Express is alot better value these days.

Thanks a ton guys! :D
I think I might dish out that extra cash for the studio.
I've tried out logic before and picked everything up fairly quickly.
Precciate it. ;)
