Having looked over the feedback regarding the previous Help Me Make That Sound thread as being too large and unwieldy, am trialling a monthly alternative to it for the month of August/September. This is a 2 month trial, so bear with me here, and will have a feedback poll once the month is over to see if it's working.
As before;
Post examples (using the Video tag if you want to embed YouTube videos) of what sound you want to make - if your question is answered please try (if you can) to help someone back. If you can't help someone back please contribute somewhere within the forum.
We also have the following threads that might help up front;
I am looking for some presets or similar effects to "Playing The Villain" by Son Of Kick.
I am a newbie and kinda unskilled in creating new presets,
for example:
1:08 hi-pitched sound effect
1:44-1:48 sick bass, any knows how to get such effect?
1:49 there is a short DING at this second, looking for this effect aswel
what about this muted sound while camera is outside of the car?
and moore..
If any1 has or could make such sick effects, many ppl would be grateful.
PEACE!

Just automate the pitch on a synth to give it that glide then run through Amplitube or Guitar Rig for the distortion.

Hello there everyone, for the past few weeks I have been trying to perfect a unique bass sound similar to a few I have heard not like the typical 'talking bass'- yayaya, but more distorted, saying it had vowels in it it would be spelled like "Boooy"
"Boosh" sort of thing I'm struggling to get that 'B dynamic to my sound I'm trying to make, here is a songs I can post to give more of an idea
Similar to these but looking mainly at the mid and low end of the spectrum for a more Boooya" subby mid sound any idea's are greatly appreciated cheers.

If you cannot OR don't want to help me with Son Of Kick, which is mothafuckin great..
I would have another task for you mates.
Please, help me with getting so fat and hipitched sound which is main theme in this one:
This is kind of pre loaded sound which is exploding on every single note.
I am really in need of this one.
Thanks in advance )

That my friend is a hi pitch lead.. alot of things can do that try making a reese bass or try a few patches you have made, go reasonably way higher up on the keyboard c6+ depending on the patch you are using, once you have a lead baseline down, try layering up split mids and his maybe go 1 octave down for mids.. re sample effects for a more prominent sound if you want to break the effects chain try applying short verbs short amounts of flanger phazers etc.. you really just need to try heaps of things and see if it will work this is just something random i would do to see if I could get it keep effects short if you want the lead to stay most present as if a large rate of a flanger for example was applied you would lose a great amount of the lead.. just practice and see what works. hope this has helped
Just wondering about a synth?

I've been listening to Requake and P0gman ALOT lately! They both have amazing synths! I know that Requake uses Reason, not to sure about p0gman! But that kind of wet synth if you get me?
You can hear it at 0:08
Just wondering if anyone can give me any pointers on how to achieve that synth? Not exactly like it, but something none the less.
I use massive in Ableton, but if you recommend I should something else to achieve that synth then let me know. I'm a complete n00b at making music, I've only started producing about 2 months ago, so be nice if ya can?

its the fx on it that make up most of the sound, try getting a square with 12+ octave in massive and put a envelope on the amplitude and try the formant for the intensity and put the same envelope on that knob. then the dimension expander to give it that distant sound.
then post any other synth quesitons in the help me make this sound thread
