You all don't know me, and I don't know all of you but I would just like to say thank you to the people who contribute music to this thread. I've been listining to dubstep for about a year now and when I first started out I only knew a few artists, like Bassnectar, Flux Pavillion, Downlink, Datsik, Excision and illGates. Since I've joined this site I've discovered a different side of dubstep, the real side of dubstep. I'm not saying that to be an elitist or something along those lines but I've come to discover artists like Kode9, Burial, Loefah and Mala actually put soul and effort into their music, which makes it more than music, it makes it art, but I think I'm just preaching to the choir there. Don't get me wrong, I'll still listen to both types of artists, but the real dubstep is so much better. Once again, thanks, and big ups.

Oh my God, it's like a cult movement. I hope you know there's nothing wrong with listening to Bassnectar, Downlink, Datsik, Excision and illGates? To say these producers are fake and not artists is just weird

I wonder if there is a community that claims listening to Burial, Loefah, Mala, etc., is bad because they are the popular side of deep Dubstep

good to hear that, although i'm not surprised. when the brostep thing wasn't yet all over the shop and taken too far i used to feel the sound too, but soon i realised there's little to it and stuck to the real stuff. but illgates? only illgates i've ever heard of is on this tune



which is a banger and bears little similarity to datsik etc

no one said they were not artists. the term "real dubstep" might not be accurate cause those producers are also dubstep (though Bassnectar is often not, actually), but what the OP meant by the term "real" was that it was what dubstep was meant to be in the first place.

check out the comments on any UKF vid and you'll find it.
(or on "deep dubstep" vids for that matter, there's some guy on a Shackleton vid, for instance, saying "this is not dubstep, where is the wob wob ?". I think that's pretty much what you're looking for)

This is anything but dubstep. If your going to post techno that is slow and relaxing catagorize it as trance or tribal cause thats all I hear from this video. I'm tired of finding this shit when im looking for heart pounding filthy DUBSTEP! kthnxbai

Not even being funny, but I think I understand why people here are so hostile towards people like this. It's not even a case of, "I have a better taste in music than you", or "my music is better than your music", I just don't see how people, who like Dubstep, don't appreciate this track
