Cleese: 'London is no longer an English city'

TV funnyman John Cleese has spoken out about the high levels of immigration in his native UK, insisting London is "no longer an English city".
The Monty Python star is adamant the multi-cultural nature of the British capital is changing the country beyond recognition and traditional English culture is fading out.
In an interview on Australian TV, he says, "I'm not sure what's going on in Britain. Let me say this, I don't know what's going on in London because London is no longer an English city and that's how they got the (2012) Olympics.
"They said, 'We're the most cosmopolitan city on Earth', but it doesn't feel English. I had a Californian friend come over two months ago, walk down the King's Road (in London's Chelsea) and say to me, 'Well, where are all the English people?'
"I love having different cultures around but when the parent culture kind of dissipates you're left thinking, 'Well, what's going on?'"

Well what the fuck is he doing complaining about that in Australia cause we sure as shit aren't 'English'/White
More Monty Python episodes should be made to secure the longevity of 'English culture'

Before we turn this into an 'Oh John Cleese is a racist tnuc etc' thread remember that he hasn't expressed any hatred towards the change, it is just his opinion based on having observed a change in the city he has probably spent most of his life. To be honest, based on my own experience, I have to agree as the town I live in is barely recognisable these days. Not saying its a good thing or a bad thing, its just an observation.

And quite a valid one. As long as theres no malice behind it.

Traditional compared to what? Does he want druids sacrificing virgins in swamps? Srsly, there's no such thing as 'culture practiced traditionally' anywhere. Shit's constantly evolving. Maybe he should worry more about the character of him as an individual and less about the character of a couple of million people, collectively, that he's never met.

Hes from an older generation so what do you expect. Weve grown up in a more accepting and multicultural time and thats what makes england great. You cant blame him for disliking change. Lots of older people are racist, lots arent its just the way theyve brought up.

Well, where are all the English people?'
how can you tell by walking down a street? did he give everyone a survey to see how english they were?
no he looked at the colour of people's skin and made a snap judgement
