Wicked idea for a remix, bassline is good but sounding a little thin, same for the drums. Don't worry about these things at the moment though, your mixdown technique will come with time. The composition elements and track structure work really well. Keep at it man. Soundcloud this is my new one if you could if us some criticism it'd be much appreciated
diggin this,-good work man. i disagree with the previous posters comments on the bass and drums,-think they suit well and compliment the vox and original sounds of the song-i really think you should bust your chops to get the band to hear your remix!
p.s. have you seen there vid for the song "gallows"? well worth a look if you dig em!
I think the bass could be produced up more. A good job otherwise. I like the bells in there and the small sounds. Keep it up. Give mine a listen if you have a chance.
Thanks for the feedback everyone! I will definitely take all of your ideas and suggestions into consideration. I'm going to see what more people think about it before I alter anything else, but I did beefin up the bass on a recent re-edit. I have actually been listening to the "Gallows" track for some time and have been planning on a remix for it too haha. I don't know if they would be down for the remix with the chops. They have definitely got a very strong fanbase that support their music and often get defensive when it comes to remixes. If they land on it and dig it that'd be great, but other than that I mainly would just like to make good music and be remembered for it.
I like the vocal sampling, and the drum patterns, but the actual drum sounds (ie. snare) could do with a bit more character. Sounds great though, keep up the good work!
Love the intro and the vocal sample is great. For me, I like a bit of a punch to my drums, so you can feel the hit on the kick. But you may have kept the drums down for a reason? I like the asian/indian flavour it has too. Keep up the good work
