Right.

Saw 10mins of one episode, didn't have to watch anymore to know what it was about...

Worst part is how everyone raves on about it saying how funny and witty it is...

Lighten up...

After years of 'Skins' The Inbetweeners was a refreshing change which didn't take itself too seriously. I haven't seen the film but the series was just funny. Compared to 99% of comedy it's very good too, with shit like 'the old guys', 'twenty twelve' and 'Miranda' in it's 3rd series or whatever...

I stopped watching Inbetweeners after season 2.

The lesser, the better.

I can't really call it shit because it's not aimed at me, I imagine if I was about 16 I'd think it was great.

I don't think it's as good as some people say it is, certainly never heard it described as "witty." However I don't think it's as bad as some people claim either. It does sort of parody the whole skins hollyoaks ideal of teenage life, although the it's not like it invented the awkward teenager angle (american pie for example). Also it is about 90% gay/your mum jokes and catchphrases.

It's better than a lot of shite on tv. It's aimed at a specific age group, so naturally some people won't like it. It's like a six year old saying The Ascent Of Man is shit cause there's no cartoon aliens in it.

This ^^

If I was still at school/college and watched it, I'd probably piss myself laughing. But Firky's right, I'm not the target audience.

I've also yet to meet a single person over the age of about 23 whose told me the film was actually any good

It's hard to crit programes like this because people always fall back to the "oh dont be such an old fart lighten up m8 its funny" route but seriously, its mainstream humour for the common person. If thats you then quids in.

First series got me a few times, but the second one was rubbish. Doubt I'll bother watching a movie... talk about dragging it out...

I was LOLing all throughout! I'm quite easily pleased when it comes to comedy though.

Edit: Plus I've hardly ever watched the series.

I'm 19 and don't like it from what I've seen, granted there is worse on tv these days..... comedy is being diluted down to the same
90% gay/your mum jokes and catchphrases.
too often - some quick, cheap laughs for an instant gratification generation who lost their imagination with the invention of computer games and mtv.

I find it pretty funny, get a bit bored of the "clunge" jokes though. One of my friends was in the first 2 series as well so i used to watch it for her. Thought the film had some hilarious bits in it plus the blonde chick was stupidly fit

i think the thing i dislike most about the inbetweeners is that it has been ruined by facebook... seriously, how in fuck does a mildly chucklesome television programme warrant EVERYONE on facebook discussing every aspect of the episode that had just been on, i could not watch a single episode of it and still know the plot just by going on facebook the same night as a new episode is on

fucking irritating

I have to admit, I do find it pretty amusing, But I think it's just because I know too many kids from school who are exactly them, Not popular but no the biggest losers and they say these jokes thinking they're on the edge of some sort of comedy revolution, but It's in no way ground breaking.

REALLY easy to just watch without having to think and the constant jokes about mums kind of gets funnier the more they do because the level of stupidity becomes laughable.

That being said, Too many people seem to rag on it being the shittest thing around. I can be a bit of a contrarian at times but it really isn't awful

i dig it like, i mean i cant really point out any overly funny moments, but it did make me laugh at the time. but i think its more my kind of comedy, like e and all my mates are like 18-21 and we make all those type of jokes ourselves so thats probably why we find it funny. i remember tho the first series i watched and i dont recall anyone else watching it, i never had anyone to talk to it about cos no one apart from me and my mate watched it. but now everyone does. i was talkin to my mates before tho bout it, and saying how at first i think it was aimed maybe more towards the less 'mainstream' audience, but then more and more people got watchin it. and i thought that people who would find it funny are people who can relate to them, but now like the kind of people who would rip the shit out of them at school are watching it too and finding it hilarious, and i thought it was kind of weird cos i didnt think they would really get it, thought it would be more the kind of people who actually experience that kind of scenario that would.

i had never heard of 'the old guys' and then it appeared on GOLD last night. how old is that if its on gold haha, it was shit though, and miranda is shit, the bird who is her i just dont find funny one bit and i dunno how she has got her own tv show. twenty twelve was alright though.
