Kind of a bs thread but just wondering if any of you guys sneak around at work making loops on the Caustic android app? The sequencer is pretty cumbersome but still fun, at least on the shitter. If ya haven't tried it the demo is free and the little sub synth sounds decent and even has lfos and automation. Also you can load any wav on your phone into the sampler or drum sequencer. It's like a a mini Reason

Not seen that, but do have Audacity installed on my work machine so I can chop samples/beats if I ever get stuck on a really dull conference call.

My old job allowed me to take my laptop for "homework".
I used to bring my laptop, headphones, and this little 25 key controller I have.

Hey no problem man. It's actually quite convenient if you think up a chord progression or beat away from home and want to remember it easily. I wish I could rock a small midi controller at work though id probably get fired with the quickness.
Here's a video of it :

"Secret"?

I was full out in Logic with Seinheisers and an Axiom controller my last job during the few weeks shortly before I was fired. In my defense there literally was nothing else to do, which is why they said I was let go: lack of incoming work. But very probably, turning my cubicle into a mini-studio hastened my demise...
In related news I just came from an interview at an Apple store today, and when she asked if I "was familiar with GarageBand" I almost sht myself. God I need to work there. They WANT people like us.

My friend just got hired there.
From what I've seen they don't really care if you're tech savvy, they just need free spirit individuals who can sell you overpriced shit (a la my friend)

I have Reaper installed on my flash drive.
I often get it going while at work for 30 min or so.

Does reaper have any good built in synths? Might have to consider that.
Rebirth on my iPad is pretty key and hammerhead is fun to dork around on.
Audacity is pretty good too.

Didn't say anything about Reaper?
What I meant was, i've downloaded these production apps for mobiles before and they almost always turn out to be crap and disappointing. I was expecting this to be the same but its actually pretty cool to mess around with / get rough ideas down.
