Today was the first time I had an oppy to actually watch a match - big ups to Ireland! Always love seeing the Aussies lose, because there's so much banter to be had with pissed off Aussies on FB.
Northern Hemisphere rugby is hardly pleasing on the eye but as Declan Kidney said after the game it's forwards that win matches, backs decide by how much. Seems over the past couple of world cups that such a withdrawn, logical and dare-I-say boring approach is quite effective in tournament conditions, while the more expressive and eye-catching Southern Hemisphere brand is liable to buy you a punch in the nose.

I think the English are just out on a piss trip. Not sure if they're aware there is a world cup on at the moment. Tindall you sly bugger.

it's shaping up to be a great comp. lots of games have been far close than predicted, not to mention ireland getting up over australia. we might be about to see samoa topple wales too. pretty exciting that australia are likely to meet south africa in the quarter's now as well

both.
The pool matches have turned out some unexpected belters. Off to Auckland this Friday for NZ vs. France, good chance to get drunk with some continental rugby fans.

Sweet man, so am I. I was heading up regardless to soak up the atmosphere at par-tay central but an hour ago I was offered a ticket to the match! Stoked!

It wouldn't surprise me if SA forfeit against samoa for an easier ride to the finals. Shits getting really interesting.

yea, you'd hope that wouldn't happen at this level, but a possibility for sure
