[London] Dublime: Renegade Soundwave & Don Letts

A journey through the sublime sounds of sonic dub …
Mesmerised by the groove state, a snare shot, soaked in digital delay, ricochets into the air above your head, decaying slowly over an insistent, throbbing sub sonic bass line that drives deep into your body. Dub creates a hypnotic beat, building a tension until it breaks....hide the children - Dublime is loose

Looks heavy. Have a good one. Good to see Danny RSW is still treadin' the boards. The man was a true pioneer.

Renegade Soundwave were my only true musical heroes - the only people who have ever made me wish I was in a rock band.

A time and a place though. Not sure it would be the same now....

Amen to that. Dunno whether I'd be here without RSW, to be honest. (That's not to say that RSW saved my life, just that they started a fascination with bass and dub and beats and all, when I was mainly listening to Big Black, Sonic Youth and suchlike. Part of the reason why hearing dubstep was such a revelation, something that I'd been waiting for without really knowing it....)

You guys always have it so good when it comes to music and gigs. This is a line-up I would k...; well I wouldn't say that, but I will say Don Letts, RSW, & Rhythm&Sound; you guys are spoiled. I did travel to New York to see R&S spin Reggae 45's with the Wackie allstars last April but you guys get them with Tikiman. My goal is to hear Don Letts select and spin Live; we gotta get him over here in the States.
