hey man nice wobbles in this track, the track would be freaking sick if you put some sort of house/trance melody in the breakdown where its just the drums playing. i downloaded it and gave you a positive comment on your soundcloud :)

oooo, sexy wobbles. I agree with Riich, if you get a house melody in that breakdown it would sound sick. I like it man, keep it up!

Hey Monstro,

I'm not very big in the music world, but I can critique the crap out of design work.
However I'll try my best here.

I think you have a great structure to the over all song, it's got good variation , which is the most important, in my opinion.
The song feels very minimalist, like a simple DnB, so if this was your intention then you did a great job!

However, I tend to favor a bigger sound more along the lines of Skrillex (obv), Deadmau5, Gemini, Mesinian, etc.
So if you want to make your sound larger (according to my method {which is one of thousands}) I would consider using return tracks with parallel compression and some sort of verbage (cathedral style reverb maybe) to give a fatter sound, and more ambient feel.
The other thing is the builds around 0m:20s and 1m:30s are so quiet. But like I said it works overall, with great structure.

This isn't my regular type of music I am usually into the heavier shit myself, but I wanted to make some minimal.

Simple and effective, I like it. Reminds me of my mate p0gmans kinda dubstep. On that note, i would actually allow the dance melody etc on the break ideas, to me its simply not that kinda track. Instead I would build soundscape on the breaks. Grab some of the movie sound effects (nothing recognisable, just wide huge shit) or filter out your wobble and add some delay/reverb. maybe bring in the kick with your snare at the start and just throw the sample on top of the kick if you get my drift.

I've been studying off p0g (cos he got played by Jakes twice at Goonies and Jakes is one of my heroes) and he starts a lot of tunes like that, cos then you can open with them in a set and people immediately have something to move to (the kick snare and this big wide effect that grabs people).

EDIT

Went on about p0gman enough that I thought I may as well show you an example (this one uses a filtered wobble on the intro)

Thanks for the strong reply, and i may just warm up to this idea and VIP it as a dancier tune. The funny thing is that I have several unreleased tunes athat are doing the exact thing you describe, with the atmospheres, lol.

And i am also really glad you picked up on the fact that I was going for a p0gman thing here.

Hey if you do then by all means experiment lol, and it seems like p0g is a lot better known than I thought now lol I just knew him as my college mate who could rip up a dance with simple but very effective shit! TBH I was surprised when I saw his soundcloud so full lol.
