What are 'credits'?

Stupid question and you can delete this as soon as I find an answer just need one quick
im trying to get a release and the label asked for a master wav and 'credits'
how would I set credits out?
haha sorry but help please.

You know like the credits on a film, who did what.

if there are any recording artists on the master, list their contribution
if any other composers wrote the composition, list them as such
Any (cleared/recognizable) samples from other works, list as such
Any other producers, mix engineers, etc. list as such
A recording artist would be someone who stepped into the booth and performed vocally or on an instrument
Anyone helping you write/produce it would be a composer
The rest is self explanatory.
Much of the time (especially in EDM) there aren't any other credits besides yourself, since its often a one-person show.

so if I made a tune just by me with no vocalists etc.
how would I set that out?

You wouldn't need to tbh. Although if you wanted to, you could put "Track written & produced by [real name]", so it'll have something when it gets signed to a compilation
