A good black metal parody is the ONLY thing in the world that is better than black metal.

Also, I found a former classmate of mine by googling 'morbid anal fog' and coming across one of her posts on a metal forum. I can now say that I've been reunited by someone through Morbid Anal Fog.

They are. They were asked to send a video to some Norwegian tv show and they didn't have any so they put that together as a joke in 2 days.

hi i know this is a parody thread but i came across some black metal covers recently. i dont know who has done them but they are 60 surf style reworks of black metal songs. heres 'the burzums' - dunkelheit
and here is the original. insane!!!
off topic i know, but its interesting. theres a bunch of different bands which have been reworked as 'trve kvlt surf music'.

oh i see!
i quite like them, not my cup of black metal but they're probably a bunch of cool guys just having fun. not as in parody or not taking their music seriously but they don't take it TOO seriously either.
back on topic:
i think thats some last.fm joke band. either that or imageboards...

Duuuuude. That surf cover of dunkelheit is great, but HOLY SHIT DID YOU HEAR TRANSILVANIAN HUNGER HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT
Someone's gotta show this shit to Fenriz and Nocurno. Awesomely well done and classic Darkthrone melodies really come to light in this. Black metal's in general got my favorite melodic style.
Edit: oops accidentally posted the original.

i dont condone illegal downloading but earlier i searched 'trve kvlt surf rar' and there was a mediafire link as the first result, with a few tracks on there. absolutely amazing stuff. if anybody finds out who did these, or of any bands which sound like this (the gloomy surf aspect) then let me know... absolutely amazing music.
also there is some funny stuff on youtube by a guy called AndyRehfeldt, he covers a huge range of tracks in pretty much the opposite style to how they were written. here is his abba one...

Word, it has that bleak ass vibe to it. It doesn't even sound cartoony or childish, shit fits like a glove. It's that atmospheric and repetetive and simplistic spaceousness that's also common in black metal...
