Soundcloud

This one took me a while to make, probably my most complex track so far. Wouldn't mind some feedback! Not really expecting much though.

Really loving that delayed intro synth! but turm down the wet/dry on the reverb just a little because theres no bass to cover it up:)
Im feelin this though man! its a great track and the drop is pretty complex haha nice work though.

Thanks man! I'll definitely check your stuff out.
Which synth do you mean? The lead or the chords? If you meant the lead, I actually want it to be really echoey, I think it sounds better that way. But you're right, there's no bass under it.

that main bass fuzz sound is ugly. mix the drums and turn them up.

Alright.
Harsh criticism hurts but it's the most helpful stuff! Thank you, I'll try to fix the drums. Mixing drums has always been the most tedious, puzzling part of production for me, so I'm definitely lacking there. And I've noted that fuzzy bass, but I think it loses some of its power without the fuzz. I don't know though, I'm mixing it through old speakers and headphones, which isn't a good idea.

you gotta find to a happy medium between dirt and beauty. easier said than done. the drums , ... layer a couple snare sounds and a couple kick sounds that you think complement each other... one with a good high end snap and one with a good mid range punch.., then eq the strongest frequencies up a bit and the weakest ones down for each sound...then compress the sounds to bring the peak of the wav towards the middle , then limit it to bring the quiet frequencies louder , which fattens all the sounds. i usually layer three of each for dubstep, house is a bit different theres usually a constant kick so you may not want such a big sound. i would compress and limit your wobble sounds and synths usually too..

Thanks man, I'll pay close attention to that stuff. Basically everything you just said snowed me completely, I really need to study up on that.
