It's mostly a combination of all the things you learn from different tutorials that make you solid cool synths.. Just try and learn the plugin so that you can sort of make want you have in your head.

theres stickies at the top of the message board that you can read and then sound like skrillex or doctor p, therefore obtaining knowledge how to create really soild sounding synths.

Have you looked up the concepts behind fm, additive, and subtractive synthesis?

^^^this. And just start making your own sounds whether they end up sounding good or bad. Nothing's gonna tell you exactly to make a solid synth. Eventually you're gonna have to learn yourself.

there's a free online book called 'how to make a noise' that's a good intro to synthesis.

Keep messing around and watch youtube tutorials. I've watched a tutorial one time and it gave me ill advice, but at the same time you can discover cool things you never knew Operator had. I still probably don't know all there is parameter wise. Check out my songs, they all use Operator, every single sound basically.
