Dutch Cannabis Laws

I know we have a pretty big contingent of Dutch posters on here and they must hear about the changes of these laws more than us from the UK and beyond.
I've got a free trip with Uni coming up in February to Amsterdam to do with my logistics degree and obviously theres more to amsterdam than warehouses and distribution centres
But whats going on exactly over there? I've read that this 15% THC rule has already come in? What does this mean in terms of quality? What was the % on average before this?
What about this 'dutch citizens only' law?
Im sure theres a fair few on this forum that are interested as well.
Cheers peoples

I went a few weeks ago.
Nothing has changed.
I'm sure a Nederlander can confirm, but from the people we were speaking to it sounds like the rest of Europe took some opposition lobbying as "they're changing the laws"... making coffee shops "dutch only" or scrapping them completely would cause a lot of economic damage - probably not something particularly likely to gain traction in this climate.
Go and enjoy yourself! (try the really fucking expensive hash in Hill St Blues... amazing!)

Was looking at getting some of that, but decided against forking out so much cash for it. My mates who went a couple months before me got the tangerine nectar, which is equivalent of water works i think, like 50-60 euros and they said it got them ridiculously red, but then again, all the weed does. I wouldn't spend that much on a g myself.

believe me - more THC doesn't mean a nicer flash - not at all. it's abou the ratio between cannabinol and THC. THC alone makes you lazy, very tired and sucks the energy out of you... so called stoned as fuck. (i don't like this)
but together with cannabinol it's more uplifting, happy and more positive and with less side effects.
this whole indoor hardcore skunk is for no use. not nice to smoke and smells like the chemicals inside!
go for good hash or outdoor.

isn't it the other way around?
alot of THC + little CBD/CBN = energetic
alot of CBD/CBN + little THC = stoned
correct me if i'm wrong but thats what I read in multiple places

Even as someone who can be a bit picky about their weed, that is fucking MENTAL. Don't believe the hype on anything costing that much, it won't be 6 times better than the €10/g stuff!
The most expensive shit we tried was some €25/g (ish, may have been 20) hash in Hill St Blues. It was so soft that it practically turned to liquid in my pocket... had to keep it in the FRIDGE so it didn't just smear itself all over the baggy and get wasted. Beautiful smoke, though!

@magma was that the iceolator or something similar?
I am pretty sure that the higher the THC content relative to CBN the more heady the high and the less couch lock. I recall the discussion on fuck combustion when I was considering which vaporiser to go with.
I don't know that this is true but it seems that the THC/CBN ratio is most obvious across sativa / indica with indica being lower in THC vis a vis sativa

It was black somethingorother... maybe Black Gold? It was the most expensive one on Hill St Blues price list (and that's a nice little place to get stoned, too)
We didn't really go into any of the bigger places - I imagine a lot of reputation goes into their pricing though. Don't end up paying way over the odds just for your surroundings or a cool label...

You've got them the wrong way round. THC is the buzzy, skitty element. It is also the psychotic chemical in weed. The other cannabinoids are the ones that provide the feelings of relaxation and the 'mongy' type high and are actually anti-psychotics. This is why indica is much more relaxed and sleepy than sativa because the levels of THC are much higher in sativa.
Personally I hate THC heavy smoke and used to always get pissed off that nobody in England seems to shot anything other than sativa. Large part of why I stopped smoking to be honest.
