For a while i've been wanting to produce Spor and Noisia Styled drum and bass but the only thing i can't understand how to make it the extremely weird reese bass, or if its not that please correct me... i am looking for a direction on how to make these kinds of sounds at 4:50 and at 1:50

look into and read up on on neurofunk basses. It's basically a reese with a LOT of notch filter and lowpass/hipass filter automation. Couple of things to keep in mind:

- distort before you notch
- resample, then distort and notch again

Takes a little while to understand where the sweet spots are for creating those basses (I've only just "gotten" it), but keep at it :)

Haha DSF is turning into DOA :P

But yeah, notch filters are your friend. And for god's sake don't overdo the distortion because it will suck if you do. For the rest, experimentation! :)

It's all about notching or bandreject filters, bandpass filters, low and high pass filters.

Ok then hanks for everything, i just got one more question, before i filter and distort or whatever... does the Reese Bass have to sound a specific way? or will anything work with the right filters and effects?
