Been doing various google searches but coming up stuck.
Me and my mate are looking for a place to rent in Southeast/East London are there any websites which specialise in this or does anyone know of any complexes in these regions?
p.s - I know you create the studio within the space. I just mean does anyone know of a place which allows these types of use with the rooms.

depending on what scale you're thinking look for B1 industrial units. its easy to find some estate agents that specifically deal with them

Look in industrial/factory non-residential areas. That's where I found my last studio for rent cheap as shit. Those areas are usually cheaper and there's most likely no noise laws being enforced because it's non-residential (laws vary of course). Also find some local bands and ask where they practise at. That's how I found it, some people I knew from bands were looking for someone to split rent costs with, and eventually I bought them out and took over the whole studio cheaply including the desk and some vintage amps and gear. I didn't have to worry about the factory noises because we would usually be there during the AM hours. Worth a look!

Thanks guys! I have a studio what I can record bands at aslong as I give time ahead and get a free AM session - we're just looking for a place where we can go any time we want to crack on with some beats/have a mix/a little get away spot I am literally just looking for a room what can fit a coffin for a pair of 1210s/mixer, a full sized keyboard and a computer so the smaller the better really! A lot of industrial plots are bloody huge, I was looking at a few storage rooms (which are like a perfect size) in some industrial complexes, going to give a ring around on Monday and see what the people say.

there is a warehouse in an industrial area a few miles from my house that you wouldn't believe it from the outside is full on alarmed and separate band jam spaces. ask about i'm sure you have similar in your area

Shit, you've just triggered something...while back I read this article online somewhere about a bunch of people who are basically scroungers when it comes to building their studios. Cheap studio space, getting off cuts of wood from DIY stores, building their own shit etc etc.
I'll see if I can find it...

if you rent an industrial unit as a studio, do you have to pay business rates on it?
