Ableton newb here, recording multiple audio effects on midi?

So I've used the global record button to record 30 seconds or so of midi from a few diff midi tracks.. And on a particular track I have 3 different audio effects (simple delay, piano eq1, reverb).

I want to record and adjust the various parameters for each of those 3 effects while I have the OVR button lit, record, and hit play.. But I'm finding once I hit play, it wipes out all of that data and only allows me to control 1 instance.. How can I record it so I'm able to maintain the previous audio effects settings without resetting them?

I know it's very well possible and I understand I'm a newb, but I've searched and can't quite find the answer.

Thanks.
