Bristol, England, UK. For years this city has nurtured a rich underground scene. Home to urban grafitti artist 'Banksy' as well as a number of forward-thinking musicians and bands whose collective musical consciousness helped shape the 'Bristol Sound' during the 1990s, today the city still continues to maintain a strong relationship between music and art cultures. The urban scene here is characterised by an omnipresent sparseness and darkness influenced by the city's aesthetic and history. It is no surprise that this city is responsible for shaping many of the slow, bass driven sounds and genres we hear emerging from the UK today.

This mix collects 25 tracks from Bristol labels and resident Bristolians alike. Featuring several tracks from seminal dubstep producers Pinch and Peverelist as well as their respective record labels Tectonic and Punch Drunk, as well as tracks from DJ Thinking's label Black Box and sublabel Box Clever, this mix endeavours to collect and share the musical ability and diversity of these likeminded artists. Features additional tracks from Jakes & his Bristol based label Hench, Mensah & his new alias New York Transit Authority, RSD (one half of Bristol duo Smith & Mighty) & Addison Groove (Bristol badman Headhunter), and lots more!

Spot on! Bristol scene covered so well in this mix. Love it, especially the mixing of roll with the punches, that is the mix of a man who knows that tune intimately. Proper Job.

Let me just add that the transition from 28 Grams to My Trance Girl actually gave me the chills. They contrast yet fit so perfectly. Definitely some quality mixing going on here
