I need an advice :)

Ok I'm beginner in producing dubstep and dnb and for now I'm just using Fl Studio 9, Cool Edit and Virtual Dj for that kind of stuff.
And now I want to buy some mixer or MIDI, but I need an advice...
I'm not good with money so I need something cheap and in my country (Croatia) those kind of stuffs are very expensive. I can spent about 200 - 300 dollars.
I'm more producer than dj, but I have a feeling that you can't produce something ''cool'' without a good mixer...
So I'm asking you is it better to buy something like this:

Behringer Pro Mixer DX626 (but I don't have money for players so I don't know can I use this only with notepad and virtual dj) 200 dollars

Hercules DJ Control mp3 - 250 dollars

Or maybe the best thing for me is some MIDI :)

Thanks for advice :D

For producing both of those items wont give you any real benefits unless you want to play your songs out live. Those are very DJ specific. Check some of these out, much cheaper and much better for producing music:

Mate I really wouldn't bother with those. Only two items I could suggest to you to buy is a Midi Keyboard or an Audio Interface but for me neither are actually essential really.

Don't spend your money for the sake of spending money!

Seems like you're suggesting that dj's don't make the music. I don't understand.

No he's saying that the items that he has up there won't help him in producing....

I think he means a laptop type notebook. :W:

Edit: Also, op, any midi keyboard with 3+ octaves and a few knobs/sliders to twiddle should be plenty if it's your first piece of hardware.

You don't really need a good mixer to produce music, you've got all you need already. Ff you really are adamant on boosting your arsenal of tools get...

Spectrasonics Trillian or Omnisphere, or A decent NI instruments bundle

or a decent set of monitors never go a miss :)
